Louisville Stays in Hunt at College of Charleston

Kent State used a 73 by Veronique Drouin to help it total a 303 to take the early lead after the first round at the Unlimited Potential/Baytree Classic in women's golf action this afternoon in Myrtle Beach. Elon College totaled a 306 to keep a close second, while Louisville was only one stroke behind the Phoenix with a 307. The College of Charleston, the host school, shot a 320 to garner the 17th spot.
The leader-board after the first round included three 73s, including Radford's Stephanie George, Elon's Laura Orlen, and William & Mary's Kathy Wunder. Charleston freshman Sapna Patel shot a 79 to lead the Cougars while Jennifer Bridwell and Lori Straub tied at 80 to go into second place for the College.
