OXFORD, Ohio -- Louisville evened its season record at 1-1 Tuesday night, falling to Miami 4-0 at Miami Soccer Field. With the win, the RedHawks evened its season mark at 1-1.
The RedHawks controlled the action from the start and at the 19th minute, scored the game's first goal when defender Maggie Lyon passed the ball to forward Andrea Cunningham who slid the ball into the right corner from 10-yards out.
Forward Danielle Berkemeier, midfielder Katie Milligan and Cunningham added goals to produce the final margin. The Cardinals were unable to create any offense in the game. Miami outshot Louisville 22-3 on the day.
U of L goalkeeper Lynn Clashman took the loss, putting her record at 1-1 on the year. Freshman Nicole Casavant and Anne Broadbent, and junior college transfer Brianne Tieff supplied the Cards only shots.
Louisville will now travel to the west coast, facing Cal-State Fullerton Saturday at 7:00PT and Cal Irvine at 12:30PT on Monday. Both games will be played in Fullerton, California.
