Cheerleaders Finish Second & Third, Ladybirds Place Third

DAYTONA, Fla. - The University of Louisville Cheerleading and Dance squads made a strong showing in the National Cheerleading Association (NCA)/ National Dance Alliance (NDA) National Collegiate Championships in Daytona Beach, Fla., this past weekend.
The co-ed squad, the defending national champions, placed second behind North Texas. Texas Tech won the the All-Girl Squad competition with U of L finishing third.
"We undertook a very difficult routine and were very proud of our performance," said Jane Wehmiller, Spirit Group Coordinator. "The top three were incredibly close."
The Ladybirds Dance Team finished third behind Memphis and Brigham Young.
"The quality of the dance team competition was excellent," said Wehmiller. "The top three were incredibly close."
