LOUISVILLE, Ky. - The University of Louisville women's tennis team all but swept visiting Evansville 8-1 Thursday at the Bass-Rudd Tennis Center. With the win, the Cards improve to 6-2 on the year.
The Cardinals swept the singles matches to seal the win. No. singles player Kelly-Marie Miller lost the first set in a tiebreaker before bouncing back to win a second-set tiebreaker and the third set for the win.
"We had an exceptional effort from our No. 1 singles player," said head coach Meg Peavy. "Everyone was motivated and played aggressively."
The Cards travel to Chicago, Ill., this weekend where they will face Northern Arizona on Saturday and Illinois-Chicago on Sunday.
