Purdue Slips By Cardinals 4-3 In Men's Tennis

WEST LAFEYETTE, Ind. - The University of Louisville men's tennis team lost to Purdue 4-3 on Friday in West Lafayette, Ind.
The Boilermakers claimed the doubles point as Jason Marshall and Andrew Wakefield defeated Joachim Lien and Tvrtko Kujundzic 8-2 at the top seed. Purdue's Laith Al-Agba and Scott Mayer outlasted Paulo Carvalho and Cody Conley 9-7 at the No. 2 seed. Louisville's Alex Sivertsen and Brent McCombe won over Evan Hays and Carl McCafferty 8-6 at No. 3
In singles action, Joachim Lien, Cody Conley and Brent McCombe won points for the Cards at Nos. 2, 5 and 6 respectively. McCombe remains undefeated in dual match play with a perfect record of 12-0.
Louisville (13-4) travels to Fresno, Calif. to take on No. 17 Fresno State on March 16 and Pacific on March 17. The Cardinals are currently ranked No. 41 in Intercollegiate Tennis Association rankings.
