No. 21 Kentucky Defeats Cardinal Women's Tennis

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - The University of Louisville women's tennis team fell to No. 21 Kentucky 9-0 on Friday at the Bass-Rudd Tennis Center.
Kentucky's Brooke Skeen, Sarah Witten, Amy Trefethen, Jill Buckley, Lauren Rookledge and Leigh Bradwell swept Louisville in singles Nos. 1-6. In doubles, Kentucky's teams of Bradwell/Skeen, Rokledge/Trefethen, Witten/Buckley defeated Louisville's Kelly-Marie Miller/Kelly Ford, Katie McLaughlin/Melisa San Martin and Kelly Whitler/Beckett Hoyt by scores of 8-5 at Nos. 1-3 respectively.
"I thought we played very competitively," said coach Meg Peavy. "The scores are not indicative of the way we played, Kentucky is an enormously talented team. As a whole, we are a much improved squad."
The Cards will play host to Miami (Ohio) on Feb. 11 at 5:00 at the Bass-Rudd Tennis Center.
