LOUISVILLE, Ky. - The University of Louisville women's tennis team swept the doubles matches en route to a 6-3 win over Miami of Ohio Friday at the Bass-Rudd Tennis Center.
"We played so well," said head coach Meg Peavy. "I was pleased with the improvement as we just squeaked by this team 5-4 last year."
The middle of the Cardinal lineup in singles provided the necessary wins to help U of L improve its spring record to 2-1. Katie McLaughlin, Kelly Whitler and Melisa San Martin won the No. 3, 4 and 5 singles matches, respectively.
The Cards play host to Southern Illinois at 9 a.m. and Murray State at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the Bass-Rudd Tennis Center.
