Middle Tennessee Tops Cardinals 8-1 In Women's Tennis

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. - The Middle Tennessee women's tennis team won five of six singles matches over Louisville to claim its ninth win of the season.

Tina Hojnik, Katja Kuehner, Michaela Gridling, Stacy Varnell, and Sarah Grohnert all won their singles matches in straight sets to help the Lady Raiders jump out to a 5-1 lead, which clinched the match before doubles play began.

Middle Tennessee (9-5) went on to defeat Louisville (7-3) by a score of 8-1 winning all three doubles matches. Louisville's only win on the day came as Katie McLaughlin defeated Tanja Buchheim in three sets 7-5, 2-6, 6-2.
