Kansuthi Named Women's Tennis Assistant

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - The University of Louisville women's tennis team has named Jean Kansuthi as assistant coach.
Kansuthi, a native of Maung Chonburi, Thailand, earned her Bachelor's degree in Business Marketing from Eastern Michigan in December 1999. During her time there, she played No. 1 singles and doubles and was named Mid-American Conference Player of the Year in 1998 and 1999. She currently holds the school record for career singles wins with 112 and doubles wins with 97. She was ranked as high as No. 12 in the nation in Rolex Collegiate Tennis Rankings and as high as No. 16 in the NCAA doubles rankings.
She is currently the No. 2 player for Thailand and has competed in the Federation Cup for the past three years.
"We are very excited to have someone of Jean's caliber join our program," said U of L head coach Meg Peavy. "She has had an excellent playing career and we look forward to her sharing her knowledge and the benefit of her experiences with the team."
