McClure Pitches Softball Cards To 3-0 Win Over Nebraska

SACRAMENTO, Calif. - The University of Louisville softball team defeated Nebraska 3-0 in a late game on Thursday at the Sacramento State Capital Classic.
In that game, U of L pitcher Tara McClure (6-1) threw a complete game shutout, her fifth of the season, allowing three hits and striking out eight.
Louisville scored two in the top of the first when Coleen Coughlin led off the inning with a double to left center and scored on Melissa Jacobo's two-run homer, her second of the year.
The Cards added an insurance run in the second when Coughlin reached first on a base hit and scored on Val Smith's double.
Offensively for Louisville, Coughlin went 4-fot-4 with a double and two runs scored. Jacobo went 1-for-4 with a home run and two RBI.
