ATHENS, Ohio - The Ohio University Bobcats (9-6 4-1 MAC) field hockey team defeated the Louisville Cardinals (4-10, 1-4 MAC) 1-0 Saturday afternoon at Shafer Street Field.
Sophomore Ali Johnstone scored the only goal of the game at 8:58. OU goalie Michelle Hinman recorded six saves on the way to her MAC-leading fourth shutout of the season, while U of L's Colleen Finn came up with 10 saves.
As a team the Bobcats out shot the Cardinals 16 to 5 and had six penalty corners to Louisville?s three.
The Cards return to action Friday for a 4 p.m. contest with Miami (Ohio) at Cardinal Stadium.
