BROWN SUMMIT, N.C. - The University of Louisville women's golf team fired a three-day score of 950 (318-302-330) to place 14th at the third annual Bryan National Collegiate Tournament at Bryan Park Champions Golf Course.
Katherine Mowat led the Cardinals with a 231 (75-72-84) to tie for 26th place, while Erin Bell finished tied for 39th with a 236 (81-78-77). Cindy Pasechnik (243), Jessica Kell (246) and Lizzy Freemantle (248) tied for 58th, 64th and 69th, respectively, to round out the Cardinal finishers.
No. 22 Wake Forest, which co-hosted the event along with UNC Greensboro, placed three golfers in the top 10 and made up three strokes in the final round to win the 15-team event with an 896. Indiana was second at 901 and Mississippi State was third at 913. Marcy Newton of North Carolina took medalist honors with a 3-over 219 (73-72-74).
The Cardinals return to action April 13-16 in Ft. Walton, Fla., for the Conference USA Championships.
