Women's Golf Poised in Fourth

Southern Pines, NC -- Cindy Pasechnik shot a 34, 38 -- 72 to lead the Cardinals to a fourth place first round position at the Pine Needles Women's Collegiate Tournament hosted by Rollins College. The Cardinals shot a 301 to land in fourth place behind leader Alabama which leads at 291.
Memphis trails Alabama at 292 and Kentucky is 299 with South Florida tying U of L at 301.
Alison Wright shot a 35, 40 - 75 to place 18th but is just five strokes off the lead. Fellow Canadian Katherine Mowat is +5 after shooting a steady 38, 38 - 76.
Memphis' Meaghan Francella leads the field after shooting a 37, 34, 71 for a one under par score. The tournament resumes Tuesday morning.
