
Men's Soccer Defeats DePaul 2-0

Louisville, Ky. - The University of Louisville men's soccer team recorded its tenth shutout of the season tonight against DePaul in Cardinal Park. The Cards defeated the Blue Demons 2-0, improving to 11-6 on the season and 3-2 in C-USA.
Freshman Nathan Stevens put the Cards on the board in the 16th minute, slipping past a defender for the unassisted goal. Junior George Zabaneh scored the second goal off a through ball from Sean Murphy to put the Cards up 2-0 at the half.
The Cards held DePaul scoreless in the second half to register the shutout.
"We played a very impressive first half," said head coach Tony Colavecchia. I thought that the second goal really clinched the win. It was a timely substitution and changed the game."
"DePaul played better in the second half and we had to make some adjustments."
The Cardinals will travel to South Florida to take on the Bulls Saturday, Oct. 27.
