2024-25: Competed in Oak Ridge Cardinal Invite, Sarasota 2K, SIRA Championship Regatta, Lake Wheeler Invitational and the ACC Championship… At the Oak Ridge Cardinal Invite, rowed at the No. 3 seat in the 2V4 boat which finished third in its heat on Saturday and at the No. 3 seat, helping the the 2V4 boat to a third place finish in its heat on Sunday… At the Sarasota 2K, rowed at the No. 1 seat, helping the 2V4 boat to a third place finish in its heat on Friday and a third place showing on Saturday… At the SIRA Championship Regatta, rowed at seat No.2 for the Varsity 4B boat that finished third in its time trial and fourth in the semifinals on day one… Rowed at seat No.2 for the Varsity 4B boat in the Varsity 4B Final, taking second place in the finals… At the Lake Wheeler Invitational, rowed at the No. 2 seat, helping the 2V4 boat to a fourth-place finish in its heat and another fourth-place showing in Friday’s second round… Helped the 2V4 finish fifth in Saturday’s third round…. 2023-24: At the Oak Ridge Cardinal Invitational, on the 2V8 boat that finished third with a time of 6:51.897 in the morning session and third with a time of 6:56.14 in the evening session; finished third with a time of 6:49.602 on the final day of the ORCI… At the Sunshine State Invitational aboard the 2V8 boat that finished fifth with a time of 7:12.10 and eighth in the grand final with a time of 6:52.24… At the SIRA Championship, helped the 2V8B boat that finished third in its semifinal with a time of 7:21.468 and fifth in the ‘A’ final, clocking in at 7:08.939… At the Lake Wheeler Invitational, helped the V4 boat to a time of 8:40.519 and a sixth-place finish in its morning session heat and then a time of 8:24.223 in the afternoon session; the V4 boat to a sixth-place finish in its heat with a time of 8:02.166… At the ACC Rowing Championship rowed with the the 3V8 boat to a third place showing in the petite final with a time of 7:07.838… CRCA National Scholar Athlete… Named to ACC All-Academic Team and Academic Honor Roll
2022-23: At Rivanna Romp, Neala rowed the Varsity 8 boat that turned in a time of 13:37.9 for seventh in the 20-boat field. She also was in the V4 boat that finished fifth with a time of 14:49.5 in a tightly-bunched top five at the Rivanna Romp. In the morning session of the ORCI, she rowed in the 2V8 boat that finished third with a time of 6:44.590. In the afternoon session of the ORCI, she rowed in the 2V8 boat that finished third, turning in a 6:56.908. In the Sunday session of the ORCI, she rowed in the 2V8 boat that finished fourth, just two seconds out of third. At the Sunshine State Invitational, she rowed in the 2V8 boat to a third place finish with a time of 6:55.46. In the grand final of the SSI 2V8 race, she rowed the Cardinals to a seventh place finish with a time of 6:44.80. She was named to the 2023 All-ACC Academic Team.
2021-22: Member of the 2V8 boat that beat Notre Dame with a time of 6:33.002 on Day 1 at the Oak Ridge Cardinal Invitational. On Day 2 at the Oak Ridge Cardinal Invitational, she rowed in the 2V8 boat that finished third with a time of 6:47.026. She was in the 2V8 boat that crossed the finish with a time of 14:45.5 and in the 2V4 that stopped the clock at 16:23.3 at the Rivanna Romp. At the Sunshine State Invitational, she rowed on the 2V8 boat that won silver in the grand final with a time of 6:36.70. At the Lake Wheeler Invitational, she helped the 2V8 boat to a second-place finish with a time of 6:50.592. In head-to-head competition with Michigan, she was on the 2V8 boat that turned in a time of 7:03.78. At the ACC Championships at Clemson, she was in the 2V8 boat that finished sixth in the grand final with a time of 6:51.290. She is a member of the AD Honor Roll and the ACC Academic Honor Roll.
Prep: Neala comes to the Ville from Roswell, Ga. where she rowed for five years at St. Andrews Rowing Club. She raced at Head of the Hooch in 2019 and received silver in the Ltwt 4+. She raced at Head of the Hog in 2020 amd received silver in 2x, won gold in the V4+ and received bronze in the V8+. She raced at the All-American Youth Cup in 2021 and won gold in the 2- and received silver in the 2x. She raced at Cincinnati Invitational in 2021 and won gold in the V4+ and received silver in the V8+. She broke her club's Ltwt 2K record and became new record holder. She raced at Dogwood and won gold in the V8+, won gold in the V4+ and won gold in the Ltwt 4+. She also raced at USRowing Southeast Regionals 2021 and won gold in the V8+ and received silver in the 2-. She raced at USRowing Youth Nationals 2021 and placed 11th in the V8+. Neala attended Centennial High School.
Personal: She is the daughter of John Marshall and Frances Marshall. Major is exercise science.
