2022-23:At Rivanna Romp, she rowed the 2V8 boat that stroked to a 13:57.5 to finish in 12th in the 20-boat field. She also rowed the 4V4 boat that came in at 15:24.2 for 16th in the 28-boat field at Rivanna. On Saturday morning at the ORCI, she rowed in the V8 boat that turned in a time of 6:28.656 and third place. In the Saturday afternoon session, Claudia was aboard the V8 boat that finished third with a time of 6:28.010. In the Sunday session at ORCI, she rowed the V8 boat that finished third, clocking in at 6:38.907. At the Sunshine State Invitational, she rowed in the V8 boat with a second-place finish with a time of 6:37.20. In the grand final of the Sunshine State Invitational, she rowed in the V8 boat to a fourth-place finish with a time of 6:35.53. Against Michigan in a head-to-head matchup, Figueiredo was in the V8 boat to a second-place finish with a time of 6:40.08. In the prelims of the ACC Championships V8 race, she rowed the Cardinals to a fourth place finish to advance to the petite final with a time of 6:45.634. She was in the V8 boat that won the petite finals of the ACC Championship with a time of 6:43.228. She was named to the 2023 All-ACC Academic Team.
2021-22: Claudia Figueiredo rowed in the V8+ boat that posted a time of 14:08.9 and in the 3V4 boat that went 16:46.4 at the Rivanna Romp. She was on the V8 boat that turned in a time of 6:18.979 on Day 1 of the ORCI. On Day 2 of the ORCI, she rowed on the V8 boat that finished third with a time of 6:33.270. At the Sunshine State Invitational, she was in the V8 boat that finished sixth in the grand final with a time of 6:35.74. At the Lake Wheeler Invitational, she helped the V8 boat to finish second with a time 6:41.725. In head-to-head competition with Michigan, she was on the V8 boat that turned in a time of 6:57.22. At the ACC Championships held at Clemson in 2022, she was in the V8 boat that finished sixth in the grand final with a time of 6:36.284. She is a member of the AD Honor Roll and the ACC Academic Honor Roll.
2020-21: In the COVID-shortened season, Claudia rowed in the V8 boat at Oak Ridge, the V8 versus Notre Dame, as well as the V8 boat at the Big Ten Invitational. After rowing in the V8 boat at Michigan/Iowa regatta, she was on the V8 at ACCs that won the Petite Final. An excellent student, Claudia is a member of the Athletic Director's Honor Roll, was named as a Red & Black Scholar, and to the Spring 2021 Dean's List. She is also a CRCA Scholar Athlete. She belongs to Chi Alpha Sigma a nonprofit organization established to recognize college student-athletes who excel both on and off the field of competition. She was named to the ACC Honor Roll and All-ACC Academic.
2018-19: Claudia competed in four events and rowed in F8+, doubles, 3V8+, and V8+. She earned a win in the Oak Ridge Cardinal Invitational against Alabama and Notre Dame in the V8+ and finished second at the Sunshine State grand final of the V8+.
Prior to UofL: Claudia participated in rowing in native Portugal. She earned multiple national championships in both indoor and outdoor competition. Claudia won two bronze medals at 2017 Paolo d’Aloja International Regatta in Italy and placed 11th at 2017 European Rowing Junior Championships and 17th at 2017 World Rowing Championships. She also participated in swimming.
Personal: Daughter of Armando Cancela de Figueiredo and Maria José Píres Fernandes. Majoring in exercise science.
