Selim Aldag joined the women's basketball staff ahead of the 2025-26 season as a graduate assistant.
Prior to coming to Louisville, Aldag coached for the Türkiye women's national teams. This past summer, he was on the senior women's national team staff with Coach Walz. Aldag and Walz were on the staff of the team that competed in the 2025 EuroBasket in Greece and Türkiye finished seventh overall. Elif Istanbulluoglu was selected to the senior national team and competed at EuroBasket under the tutelage of Walz and Aldag.Â
