Brittany Morris was hired as an assistant coach at the University of Louisville in the summer of 2025 after spending the previous four seasons at NC State as an assistant coach.
In her first season at Louisville, the Cards finished with a 29-8 record and were 15-3 in ACC play to finish second in the regular season standings. The 29 wins were tied for fifth all-time in program history and the Cardinals advanced to the ACC Championship game for the fifth time in program history and the third time under Pineda. Louisville averaged 78.7 points per game, the highest during Pineda's time and the third-best in program history. Louisville ranked second nationally with 32.5 bench points per game.
Imari Berry was named ACC Sixth Player of the Year in 2025-26, the second Sixth Player of the Year in program history since the Cardinals joined the ACC. Tajianna Roberts earned First Team All-ACC honors while Berry had second team honors to go with the Sixth Player of the Year. Berry, Roberts, Reyna Scott and Laura Ziegler all tallied over 100 assists during the season as the team totaled 627 assists, the second most in program history.
During her four years in Raleigh, the Wolfpack claimed three combined ACC regular season and tournament championships. In 2023, Morris helped the Wolfpack reach the Final Four for the first time in 25 years. In her first season in Raleigh, the Wolfpack won the regular season and tournament championship in the same year for the first time since 1984-85.
Morris played a part in the development of guards Aziaha James, Saniya Rivers, Diamond Johnson and Zoe Brooks. Both Johnson and Rivers earned ACC Sixth Player of the Year awards during their careers. Rivers and James earned First Team All-ACC honors in 2023-24 while James earned a number of honorable mention All-American honors in 2024-25. The duo of Rivers and James were both selected in the first round of the 2025 WNBA Draft.
Before going to NC State, she spent the 2020-21 season with East Carolina. Prior to her time at ECU, Morris was on the staff at UNCW for three seasons. She helped UNCW win 13 home games in 2018-19, which marked the most for the Seahawks since moving to Division I. Under Morris' tutelage, UNCW's Shrita Parker was named the USBWA National Player of the Week in January 2019 as well as being named Second-Team All-CAA following the 2018-19 campaign.
She took on the additional responsibility of recruiting coordinator during her last two years with the Seahawks, helping bring in a top-100 recruiting class in 2018 and signing the top-ranked class in the CAA each of those seasons.
Morris started her collegiate coaching career at Virginia Tech, serving as video coordinator for the 2014-15 campaign. Following her time at Virginia Tech, she was a graduate assistant at NC State for two seasons from 2015-17.
As a player, Morris was a four-year letterwinner for Seton Hall where she played from 2009-13. She started three seasons for the Pirates and led Seton Hall in scoring (13.6 ppg) during the 2012-13 campaign on her way to earning Second Team All-Big East honors.
A native of Raleigh, Morris earned her bachelor's degree in business administration from Seton Hall in 2013 and her master's degree in communications from NC State in 2017.
