2020-21: In the COVID-shortened season, Ainsley rowed in the 2V4 boat versus Notre Dame and in the 2V4 boat at the ACC Championship that won the Petite Final. An excellent student, she was a member of the Athletic Director's Honor Roll, was Red & Black Scholar, was a Fall 2020 Dean's Scholar and made the Spring 2021 Dean’s List. She is also a CRCA Scholar Athlete and belongs to Chi Alpha Sigma a nonprofit organization established to recognize college student-athletes who excel both on and off the field of competition. Ainsley was the recipient of the Atlantic Coast Conference, in partnership with the College Football Playoff (CFP) Foundation Go Teach Dr Pepper Tuition Award.
2018-19: Appeared in six events during the season … Rowed in the F8+, 4V4+, 3V8+, 2V4+ boats … Helped the 3V8+ crew to a fifth-place finish in the ACC Championship grand final.
Prior to UofL: Rowed for Everett Rowing Association for two years … Played volleyball and ran track at Lake Stevens HS … Also played volleyball for eight years for Lake Volleyball Club.
Personal: Daughter of Chris and Dianne Mattingly … Has two brothers: Duncan and Logan … Majoring in education.
