LOUISVILLE, Ky. – University of Louisville men's soccer student-athletes are continuing their development this summer by competing in leagues across the United States and abroad. The Cardinals are represented in the USL League Two, the National Premier Soccer League (NPSL), the Midwest Premier League (MWPL) and international competition as they prepare for the 2026 season.
"Many of our players made a commitment this summer to participate on USL 2 or other league teams across the country," said Head Coach John Michael Hayden. "This commitment will undoubtedly enhance their preparation for a successful fall season. We eagerly anticipate the return of the group to campus."
Leading the way are multiple Cardinals competing for Louisville City FC's USL League Two side. Forward Andres Escudero, goalkeeper Nathaniel Abraham, and defenders Noah De Blasis, Ryan Quintos and Silas Damm are participating in the club's developmental setup.
Louisville's presence extends throughout USL League Two, with Cooper Olson playing for River Light FC, Liam McClen representing Kings Hammer FC, Fernando Sanchez competing for Miami AC, Braydon Sellers suiting up for Springfield FC, Nicholas Parham playing with Swarm FC, Quinton Wilson representing Toledo Villa FC, Jack Lewis competing for Virginia Beach United, and Giacomo Zizza suiting up for FC Motown.
