Tajianna Roberts Named to Ann Meyers Drysdale Award Top 10 List

The award honors the top shooting guard in college basketball
SPRINGFIELD, Mass. — Louisville women's basketball sophomore guard Tajianna Roberts was named to the Mid-Season Top 10 list for the Ann Meyers Drysdale Award, the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame announced on Tuesday afternoon. The award honors the best shooting guard in all of women's college basketball.
Roberts leads the Cardinals this season with 12.5 points per game and 3.3 assists and has started in all 24 games this year. She has a team-best 17 games in double figures and four 20-point outings this season. Two of her four 20-point outings this season have come against Top-20 teams (No. 3 South Carolina, No. 16 Kentucky). She has tallied multiple assists in 20 of the 24 games this season, including 11 of the last 12 games.
In the win over Cal on Sunday, Roberts led the way with team-bests 21 points and five assists. She scored 12 of her 21 points in the third quarter as the Cardinals put the game out of reach. The win improved the Cardinals to 11-0 in ACC play, the best start to ACC play in program history. It was also Louisville's 14th-straight win, the longest win streak since the 2021-22 season.

In mid-March, the Mid-Season Top 10 list will be narrowed to just five, and in late March, the five finalists will be presented to Meyers Drysdale and the Hall of Fame's selection committees, where winners will be selected. The Selection Committees for the Ann Meyers Drysdale Award are composed of top women's college basketball personnel, including media members, head coaches, sports information directors, and Hall of Famers.
The winner of the 2026 Meyers Drysdale Awards will be presented on a to-be-determined date, along with the other four members of the Women's Starting Five. Additional awards being presented include the Nancy Lieberman Award (Point Guard), Cheryl Miller Award (Small Forward), Katrina McClain Award (Power Forward), and the Lisa Leslie Award (Center).
