
Women’s Basketball Announces 2025-26 Non-Conference Schedule

10 of their 13 games will be at the KFC Yum! Center
LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Head coach Jeff Walz and the Louisville women's basketball team have announced their non-conference schedule for the upcoming 2025-26 season. The Cardinals will be at home for a majority of their non-conference slate as 10 of their 13 games will be held at the KFC Yum! Center. The Cardinals will play both teams that competed in the national championship game last season as part of their non-conference schedule.
Louisville opens the season overseas for the second-straight season when they play the UConn Huskies in Ramstein, Germany on Tuesday, November 4. The Cardinals and Huskies will take part in the 2025 Peraton Armed Forces Classic at Ramstein Air Base, the first time the event has hosted two women's teams.
The Cardinals return home to kick start a five-game homestand with the home opener set for Sunday, November 9. The Cardinals host Northern Kentucky for their season opener and it will be the 25th meeting between the two schools and the first since the 2021-22 season.
Up next for the Cardinals will be a home matchup against Colorado on Wednesday, November 12. This is the second-straight season the Cardinals and Buffaloes will face off after the two met in Boulder last season and the Cardinals came away with a 79-71 win.
The Cardinals next game is a week later on Wednesday, November 19 when they host Morehead State. It is the third-straight season the Cardinals and Eagles will square off and the Cards have a five-game winning streak against Morehead State.
The annual Battle of the Bluegrass is up next as Louisville hosts Kentucky on Saturday, November 22nd at the KFC Yum! Center. The Cardinals have won seven of the last eight matchups against the Wildcats and have won each of the last four matchups held at home.
Louisville will host a multi-team event over Thanksgiving weekend with games held at the Yum! Center and across town at Knights Hall on Bellarmine's campus. The tournament kicks off on Friday, November 28 with Bellarmine vs. East Tennessee State followed by Louisville vs. Eastern Illinois. On Saturday, November 29, the games will be held at Bellarmine with Eastern Illinois vs. Bellarmine followed by Louisville vs. East Tennessee State. The games return to the Yum! Center on Sunday, November 30 with Eastern Illinois vs. East Tennessee State followed by Louisville vs. Bellarmine to conclude the event.
The ACC/SEC Challenge is up next as the Cardinals host the South Carolina Gamecocks on Thursday, December 4. It is the first time the two schools will meet since they met in the 2022 Final Four in Minneapolis.
After the matchup with the Gamecocks, the Cardinals will have three-straight home games to conclude the home non-conference slate. First up is on Sunday, December 7 when the Cardinals host New Hampshire. It will be the first meeting between the two schools since 2009.
A midweek game against Ball State is next on Wednesday, December 10. It will be the first time since 2014 that the Cardinals face off against Ball State. The final home game in the non-conference slate is set for Wednesday, December 17, when the Cardinals host Eastern Kentucky.
The final game in the non-conference slate for the Cardinals will take place in Brooklyn as they return for the 2025 SharkBeauty Women's Champions Classic. Held at the Barclays Center once again this season, Louisville will face Tennessee on Saturday, December 20.
