Moss Posts Top-Five Finish at the General Hackler

LOUISVILLE, Ky – Sebastian Moss of the University of Louisville men's golf team fired a final round 4-under-par 68 to finish in a tie for third place at the General Hackler Championship at The Dunes Golf and Beach Club in Myrtle Beach, S.C. on Tuesday.
The Cards shot a final round score of 11-under-par (277) to outlast ACC foe Duke for second place overall at 16-overall. Auburn won the tournament at 33-under-par and Duke was third at 14-under-par. Wake Forest and Baylor tied for fourth with scores of 2-under-par.
The second-place finish was the second-best mark for the Cards this year as they head into the last regular season tournament before the league championships on April 24.
Moss finished in the top five for the fourth time this year as he closed the tournament at 8-under-par. He shot 70-70-68=208 to lead the Cards over the three-day event.
Easton Johnson and Cooper Claycomb posted top-20 finishes overall. Johnson finished in 13th-place at 4-under-par at 73-68-71=212 and Claycomb was one shot behind at 72-72-69=213 to place in a tie for 16th.
Brady Smith shot a final round 69 to tie for 23rd overall. He finished the event at even-par with a 74-73=69=216. Patrick Keeling was tied for 86th.
The Cardinals return to action on April 6-8 at the Calusa Cup in Naples, Fla.
