Cards Move into a Tie for Second Place at the General Hackler

LOUISVILLE, Ky – The University of Louisville men's golf team fired a 6-under-par 288 to move into a tie for second place after two rounds of the General Hackler Championship at The Dunes Golf and Beach Club in Myrtle Beach, S.C. on Monday.
The Cards are knotted with Duke at 5-under-par after 36 holes heading into Tuesday's final round of action. UofL currently trails first-place Auburn by nine strokes after the Tigers carded a 4-under-par 284 and Duke was 2-over to slip into a tie with Louisville.
Easton Johnson carded the round of the day for the Cards after he shot a 4-under-par 68 to move into a tie for 10th place overall at 3-under-par. After recording a pair of birdies on the front side, Johnson played a bogey-free back nine that included three more birdies to give him a total of five.
Sebastian Moss crept into the top 10 by shooting 70 for the second-straight round to sit in a tie for sixth place. The senior also totaled five birdies for his round to continue his climb up the leaderboard.
Cooper Claycomb jumped into a tie for 21st place after he moved to even-par with a pair of 72s for the tournament. Brady Smith is tied for 37th place at 3-over-par after he shot 73 on Monday. Patrick Keeling also showed a big improvement to 84th after his even-round of 72.
The Cardinals will tee off with Auburn and Duke Tuesday morning beginning at 9:50 a.m. ET
