Moss Sparks Second-Round Comeback

LAQUINTA, Calif. - Brady Smith shot a second-round score of 66 to lead the University of Louisville men's golf team to a 15-shot improvement on second day of The Prestige Tuesday at the PGA West Golf Course in LaQuinta, Calif.
After shooting a team round of 9-over-par, the Cardinals rebounded to move all the way up to 11th place heading into Wednesday's final round of action. San Diego shot 11-under-par to take over the tournament lead and Kansas fired a 5-under-par to move into second place.
Smith shot a 5-under-par to move all the way into 23rd place after 36 holes. The talented freshman would record seven birdies and just one bogey for his round. Smith is in 119th place after his was disqualified for a mistake in the first round.
Moss rebounded with a 3-under-par 68 to move into a tie for 23rd place after four birdies and a bogey during his second round. Easton Johnson was even-par to move into 70th place and Cooper Claycomb shot a 2-over-par 73. Patrick Keeling rounded out the top five with his round of 77.
The Cardinals will begin Wednesday's final round at 9:45 a.m. ET.
