LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Ten University of Louisville athletic teams posted a perfect score in the most recent single-year Division I Academic Progress Rate (APR) data collection data released by the NCAA on Tuesday.
The 10 sports with a perfect 1,000 APR score for the most recent 2022-23 data include men's basketball, women's basketball, men's cross country, field hockey, men's golf, women's golf, lacrosse, men's tennis, men's track and field and volleyball.
Every UofL program ranked above the required 930 minimum score for the four-year, rolling APR, which measures academic eligibility, retention and graduation for student-athletes. This year, the four-year APR score was a multi-year average of the 2019-20, 2020-21, 2021-22 and 2022-23 academic years.
Nineteen of Louisville's programs recorded a multi-year score of 970 or higher, while four programs – men's basketball, women's basketball, men's golf and volleyball – maintained a perfect 1,000 multi-year score.
Fourteen programs recorded a multi-year APR score at or above the national average for their sport.
UofL student-athletes combined to produce a 3.311 GPA for the 2024 spring semester, marking the 27th straight semester with a department-wide GPA of 3.0 or better.
In the spring, 505 student-athletes achieved Athletic Director's Honor Roll status. The honor roll recognizes student-athletes with at least a 3.0 grade point average for the semester, while 98 student-athletes finished with a 4.0 GPA. Red and Black Scholar honors were bestowed upon 462 student-athletes for achieving a 3.25 cumulative grade point average or better in the 2023 fall semester.
UofL also reached a department-record 93 percent Graduation Success Rate (GSR) in the latest report released by the NCAA in December. Seventeen programs achieved a GSR of 90 or higher, while seven programs recorded a perfect 100 mark.
