Tajianna Roberts Named ACC Rookie of the Week

This is the second Rookie of the Week honor this season for Roberts
LOUISVILLE, Ky. — University of Louisville freshman guard Tajianna Roberts was named ACC Rookie of the Week, the conference announced Monday afternoon. It is the second rookie of the wear honor through the first few weeks of the season for Roberts.
Roberts was instrumental in the Cards 79-71 road win over Colorado on Saturday, November 30. She scored 13 points on 5-for-10 shooting, team and season-high four steals to go with two assists and two rebounds. She has scored double figures in six of the seven games this season, which leads the team.
She went on a 5-0 run herself to get the Cardinals back in front in the fourth quarter. As the Cards were trailing by one, Roberts hit a three in transition to put the Cards back up by two. On the next possession, Roberts recorded a steal and made the layup to put the Cards up four and forced Colorado to call a timeout. Her 5-0 run sparked a 16-0 run in the fourth quarter for the Cards as they took control of the game and closed out the win.
Roberts and the Cardinals will be back in action Wednesday at the Yum! Center as they host #11/#8 Oklahoma for the SEC/ACC Challenge. The Cardinals and Sooners are set to square off at 5 p.m. ET and the game will be broadcast nationally on ESPN2.
