
Women's Golf Places Four on All-ACC Academic Team

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Four University of Louisville women's golfers were named to the 2022-23 All-ACC Academic Team, the league announced Tuesday.
Gabbi Bentancourt (Business Administration), Carmen Griffiths (Exercise Science), Mairead Martin (Sport Administration), and Rylee Suttor (Economics) all earned honors this season.
To be eligible for consideration, a student-athlete must have earned at least a 3.0 grade point average for the previous semester and maintained a 3.0 cumulative average during her academic career, while also appearing in at least 50% of the team's contests.
Bentancourt appeared in seven events this season. She carded four rounds of par or below with a career-best 70 in two rounds at the Schooner Classic in the fall.
Griffiths, who represented the Cardinals as an individual at NCAA Regionals, lead the team with a 73.21 scoring average this season. She recorded 11 rounds of par or below and had her first collegiate ace at Ruth's Chris Tar Heel Invitational last fall.
Martin, who graduated in the spring of 2023, appeared in 10 events this season. She finished second on the team with a 73.42 scoring average and recorded five rounds of par or below.
In her first season with the Cards, Suttor made an immediate impact appearing in nine events. The transfer from Centre College finished with a 74.74 scoring average and seven rounds of par or below.
