Cardinals Complete Final Tune-Up at Michigan

BELLEVILLE, Mich. -- The University of Louisville rowing team raced the No. 11-ranked University of Michigan in head-to-head competition as a final tune-up for the ACC Championships at the UM Senior Day Regatta on Sunday (April 30) on Belleville Lake.
The Cardinals' 1V8 turned in a time of 6:40.08 to finish second to the Wolverines, who posted a time of 6:22.01. The 2V8 race also included a pair of Michigan novice boats along with the Cardinals boat. UofL boarded a time of 6:55.94 to finish third. The Wolverines' 2V8 boat won with a time of 6:27.09.Â
In the first of two varsity four races, Louisville finished second with a time of 8:01.03 with UM crossing in 7:24.70. In the 2V4 race, Louisville posted a time of 8:13.41 with the Wolverines' 3V4 finishing in 7:42.58. The winning time of 7:23.25 was turned in by the UM 2V4. Â
The Cardinals have just two weeks until the Atlanta Coast Conference Championships on May 12-13 on Lake Wheeler in Raleigh, N.C.Â
