
Cards Finish in a Tie for Sixth at ACC Championship

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Jiri Zuska finished at 6-under-par as the University of Louisville men's golf team finished in a tie for sixth place at the ACC Men's Golf Championships that concluded stroke play Sunday at the Country Club of North Carolina in Pinehurst, N.C. Georgia Tech, Wake Forest, Virginia, and Duke advanced to the match play portion of the tournament on Sunday.
Saturday's round was postponed until Sunday because of inclement weather.
The Cardinals tied with North Carolina as the two teams finished at 2-over-par over the 54 holes of action. The Cards shot a 1-over-par 289 during final round of play on Sunday. UofL awaits to hear its regional location when the NCAA announces its selections on May 3.
Zuska was in contention for medalist honors but shot an even-par 72 on Sunday after shooting 70-68 on Friday to sit in second place overall. Zuska finished in sixth place at the tournament for his fourth top-10 ending this season.
Max Kennedy registered his seventh top-10 finish by placing in a tie for seventh place overall at 5-under-par. He shot 69-69-71=211 to finish three shots off the lead.
Sebastian Moss gave the Cards their third top-20 finish by placing in a tie for 19th after carding a 1-over-par 217. Mads Roddick tied for 55th after shooting a 12-over-par 228 and Andrew Tan played one round and shot 77.
