- Louisville advances to the Elite Eight for the fifth-straight tournament, the only school to make each of the last five Elite Eight's.
- This is the eighth Elite Eight appearance in school history and all have come under head coach Jeff Walz.
- Walz improves to 8-4 all-time in the Sweet 16 and 31-5 as the higher seeded team in the NCAA Tournament.
