
Cards in Second Place after Two Rounds of the General Hackler

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. – After a 36 holes of competition Monday, the University of Louisville men's golf team is in third place with a team score of 15-under 561 at the General Hackler Championship hosted by The Dunes Club.
Louisville is seven strokes back from first as No. 16 Virginia leads the field with a 554 (-22).
In the opening 18, the Cardinals posted the second-best tally of the round with a 279 (-9). The Cardinals followed with a second round 282 to sit five shots behind second place East Tennessee State.
Sebastian Moss and Max Kennedy are tied for third place after shooting a 9-under-par 135 to sit just two shots off the lead heading into the final day of action. Virginia's Ben James is the leader at 11-under-par.
Moss and Kennedy fired bogey-free second rounds to pace the Cards. Kennedy carded 69-66=135 and Moss was just as solid shooting 68-67=135 to keep the Cards within striking distance.
Jiri Zuska is tied for 35th after shooting an even-par 144. He shot a 2-under 70 in the first round and followed it up with a 2-over 74. Mads Reddick is tied for 54th after shooting a 3-over par 147, while Pierce Grieve is tied for 69th after his two rounds of 7-over-par.
For the final round of the General Hackler Championship, the Louisville lineup will play alongside golfers from Kent State.
