Each Cardinal won at least one singles and doubles match

SOUTH BEND, Ind. – UofL men's tennis wrapped up fall action at the Notre Dame Invitational over the weekend, playing a variety of opponents over a three-day span.

Louisville matched up against individuals from Notre Dame, Illinois, Princeton and more between Friday and Sunday. The Cardinals went 12-10 in singles action and 5-6 on the doubles' courts.

Each Cardinal won at least one singles and one doubles match of their own. Veterans Natan Rodrigues and Matthew Fung finished the weekend 2-1 as a doubles tandem and 2-2 and 3-0, respectively, in singles.

The freshmen trio of Piet Steveker, Kosuke Nakanishi and Miguel Avendaño combined for a 5-7 record in singles while sophomore Andre' Steinbach added two victories for Louisville.

UofL men's tennis will be back in varsity action beginning in January. The full spring championship schedule will be announced in December.
