LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The University of Louisville turned in another solid showing with seven wins on day two of the Wildcat Invitational Saturday at the Bass-Rudd Tennis.

The Cardinals opened the with a pair of doubles wins against Kentucky. Fabien Salle and Natan Rodrigues teamed to beat Charlie Cosnet and JJ Mercer 6-3 while Matthew Fung and Sergio Hernandez topped Taha Baadi and Christophe Clement 6-3.

Louisville went on to tally five singles wins against the Wildcats. Etienne Donnet prevailed in a three-set marathon, defeating Taha Baadi 6-1, 6-7, 6-3. Sergio Hernandez, No. 111 in the ITA preseason rankings, lost his first set to Alexandre LeBlanc 1-6, but rebounded to take the next two 6-4, 6-2. David Mizrahi defeated Mercer 6-2, 6-3. Newcomers Will Mayew and Andre' Steinbach also registered singles victories as Mayew cruised to a 6-0, 6-0 win over Jonathan Sorbo and Steinbach beat Heman Nama 6-3, 3-6, 6-2.

The Cards will wrap up their opening weekend on Sunday when they travel to Lexington, Ky. to face Pepperdine.
