The Cardinals open the season on Aug. 25 against Saint Louis at Dr. Mark & Cindy Lynn Stadium.
LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The University of Louisville men's soccer program and head coach John Michael Hayden have released the upcoming 2022 schedule.
The 2022 slate features 16 regular season matches and two exhibitions with 11 contests to be played at Dr. Mark & Cindy Lynn Stadium.
Louisville's schedule features eight matches against teams that played in last season's NCAA Tournament, seven of which captured a conference championship in 2021.
The Cardinals take the field for a pair of exhibitions before the regular season gets underway. Louisville will play at Lipscomb on Aug. 13 and host Indiana on Aug. 19.
The regular season begins with Saint Louis for the second consecutive season, as the Cards host the reigning Atlantic 10 regular season and tournament champions on Aug. 25. Louisville will then host Bellarmine on Aug. 29 and 2021 WAC Tournament champions Seattle on Sept. 2.
UofL heads down the road to Lexington to take on Kentucky on Sept. 6 before opening up ACC play with Duke at home on Sept. 10.
Following consecutive road trips to Boston College (Sept. 16) and Florida Gulf Coast (Sept. 19), the Cards return home to host Pitt (Sept. 23) and UNC Greensboro (Sept. 27).
The month of September closes out with a road match at NC State on Sept. 30 and the Cards will head to Notre Dame (Oct. 8) the following weekend.
The regular season home schedule concludes with four straight matches at Lynn Stadium. Louisville will host Evansville (Oct. 11) and East Tennessee State (Oct. 18) in nonconference action, while welcoming in Syracuse (Oct. 14) and Clemson (Oct. 21) in ACC competition. Regular season play then wraps up on Oct. 28 at Wake Forest.
Hayden is entering his fourth season at the helm of the Cards after leading the program to its first-ever ACC Atlantic Division crown in 2021. Louisville finished with a 10-7-1 overall record and made the program's 13th all-time NCAA Tournament appearance.
