
Cards Tied for Sixth at ACC Championships

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - Walker Franklin shot a 4-under-par 140 to pace the University of Louisville men's golf team at the /ACC Championships at the Shark's Tooth Course in Panama City Beach, Fla., on Friday.
The Cardinals were up-and-down all day during the first two rounds, leading the tournament at one point early in the round and falling as low as eighth.
However, the Cardinals righted the ship and are tied for sixth place with Wake Forest at 9-under par. North Carolina is leading the pack at 29-under-par and Georgia Tech is second at 19-under.
Louisville shot a 3-under-par 285 in round one and were better in the afternoon at 6-under.Â
Franklin enters the third round tied for 13th place after shooting 70-70=140. The rookie recorded four birdies in each round to pace the Cards, while sophomore Max Kennedy is tied for 17th after he shot a 3-under 141. He opened with a 73 but responded with a 4-under-par 68 during the afternoon round.
Chris Francoeur is tied for 28th place after his 1-under-par 143 and Jiri Zuska is tied for 37th after shooting a 1-over-par 145. Nick Tenuta is tied for 39th following his 2-over 146.
The Cardinals will tee off at 9 s.m. with Florida State and Notre Dame.
