
Cards Finish Sixth at ACC Championships

PANAMA CITY BEACH, Fla. – The University of Louisville men's golf team finished in sixth place at the ACC Golf Championship, shooting 15-under at Shark's Tooth Golf Course in Panama City Beach.
The Cardinals were in position to advance to Sunday's match-play portion of the championship but were edged out on the final holes by Wake Forest and Florida State. North Carolina and Georgia Tech also advanced to the next round.
Entering the final round at 9-under-par, the Cardinals carded a 6-under-par on Saturday to finish two shots off the final cut line. UofL shot 285-282-282=849 over the two days.
Entering the final day at 1-over-par, Jii Zuska fired a 5-under-par 67, recording five birdies and an eagle on the second hole to move all the way into a tie for 16th after his rounds of 73-72-67=212. Max Kennedy was also 4-under-par to knot his teammate for 16th.
Walker Franklin tied for 19th overall after ending the championship at 3-under-par, while Chris Francoeur was 2-under-par after his final round of 71.
Nick Tenuta tied for 37th overall after finishing at 3-over-par. He shot a 1-over-par 73 on Saturday.
The Cardinals will await their postseason fate when the regional information will be announced on May 4 at 4 p.m.
