Cards Move to No. 23 in ITA Team Rankings

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — The University of Louisville men's tennis team continues to ascend the rankings, coming in at No. 23 in the latest Intercollegiate Tennis Association team rankings. This marks the third straight week in the top 25 for Louisville.
The Cardinals (18-7) moved up one spot after wrapping up the regular season with a 7-0 win against Belmont. They went on to earn their highest ACC tournament seed after posting a 9-3 conference record during the regular season.
Junior Etienne Donnet maintained a spot in the latest ITA singles rankings at No. 101. Donnet has a 15-9 record in singles competition as the Cardinals No. 1.
The Cards won five out of six matches of the year to finish the regular season with an 18-7 (9-3 ACC) record. The 18 regular-season wins are the most since the 2017 season, and the nine ACC wins are the most ever wins for the Cards since joining the conference in 2015.
Louisville will play the winner of the quarterfinal match between Duke and Clemson on Friday at 10 a.m. in the quarterfinals of the ACC Championship.
