Cardinals Return to Action at The Hayt

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The No. 37 University of Louisville men's golf program returns to action on Sunday when the Cardinals compete at the The Hayt men's collegiate golf tournament for its 30th year of competition from Mar. 27-28 at Sawgrass Country Club in Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla.
The Hayt field is loaded this season with nine teams participating ranked in the top 50 and 13 teams ranked in the top 100 out of the 15 total teams in the tournament.
The 54-hole event will feature 36 holes on Sunday and 18 holes Monday on the par 72 course.
The Cardinals will trot out a different starting five this weekend. Jiri Zuska, Chris Franccoeur and Max Kennedy will be the same trio from the last tournament, with Nick Tenuta and Sebastian Moss rounding out the top five for head coach Ryan Blagg. Hugh O'Hare will compete as an individual.
No. 19 LSU and No. 20 Tennessee highlight the competitive field, with host North Florida coming in at No. 33.
Louisville returns to the course after finishing in a tie for ninth at the General Hackler Championship last week.
Zuska tied for 17th to lead the Cardinals in the last event. The senior Zuska led the Cardinals with a top-20 finish by carding a 3-under-par 213. He opened with a 73 and followed with a 68 and 72 on Monday to pace the Cardinals. It' was Zuska's eighth top 20 finish this season.
Francoeur shot 69 on Monday to place in a tie for 26th with a 1-under-par 215, while Kennedy tied for 40th after carding a 2-over-par 218 over the two days.
