LOUISVILLE, Ky. Sunday featured another successful showing at the ITA Ohio Valley Regional championships for the University of Louisville men's tennis team as they have competed their way to an All-Louisville championship round for both singles and doubles for the first time in program history.

The 10 a.m. doubles championship will be a battle between the tandem of senior David Mizrahi and freshman Will Mayew matching up against the No. 48 ranked duo of sophomore Natan Rodrigues and senior Fabien Salle. Mizrahi and Mayew edged out Butler's Thomas Brennan and Alvaro Huete 4-6, 6-4, 14-12 to advance to the championship. Rodrigues and Salle defeated Kentucky's Alexandre LeBlanc and JJ Mercer 6-4, 7-5 in the semifinals.

Following the doubles match, Rodrigues and Salle will go from partners to opponents as they will square off for the singles championship at 2 p.m.

"I'm super proud of the guys, this is a big accomplishment for the program," said head coach Rodrigo da Silva. "Tomorrow should be an exciting day as we close out a historic run in great regional tournament."

Three of the Cards in the singles quarterfinals advanced to the semifinals Sunday as Rodrigues took down ETSU's Dimitri Badra 2-6, 7-6, 6-3. Senior Etienne Donnet won a pair of sets 6-4 to get the victory over ETSU's Thiago Pernas. No. 84 Salle cruised past Purdue's Daniel Labrador 6-4, 6-3.

In the semifinals, Rodrigues outlasted Memphis' Pablo Alemany in three sets 6-3, 4-6, 6-1. Salle came out on top in a battle of two Cards as he defeated Donnet 7-6, 6-2 to advance to the finals.

Each singles and doubles finalist will earn an automatic bid to the Intercollegiate Tennis Association National Fall Championships.
