
Dana Evans Named ACC and ESPNW Player of the Week

Evans averaged 21.3 points per game and was named Paradise Jam MVP.
LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Louisville women's basketball junior guard Dana Evans has been named espnW National Player of the Week and ACC Player of the Week following her performance at the Paradise Jam.
Evans was named Paradise Jam MVP after leading Louisville to wins over three teams that entered the week undefeated, including a 72-62 win over No. 1 Oregon.

She finished the week averaging a tournament-best 21.3 points, while shooting 47 percent from the floor, 11-21 (.524) from 3-point range and 17-18 (.944) from the free throw line, while averaging 4.3 assists.

She had 19 points on 10-10 free throw shooting in the win over UT Arlington. She followed that with a career-high 28 points on 6-9 shooting from deep, while adding five assists in the win over Oklahoma State.

She then finished the week with 17 points and six assists, knocking down a crucial 3-pointer from eight feet beyond the arc, in the win over Oregon.
Next up, Louisville plays at Ohio State on Thursday at 8 p.m. ET in the Big Ten/ACC Challenge.
