Card pick up three singles wins

NASHVILLE, Tenn. -

The Cards opened the day with a pair of main draw singles victories. Junior Tin Chen advanced to the round of 32 with a 7-5, 5-7, 6-1 decision against Vanderbilt's Marcus Ferreira while sophomore Fabien Salle topped Kentucky's Cesar Bourgois 7-6(4), 6-4.

In the singles consolation draw freshman James Bell topped Butler's Michael Karr 6-1, 5-7, 10-5.
