Asia Durr Named ACC Player of the Week

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – University of Louisville senior guard Asia Durr was named ACC Player of the Week for the second time this season after averaging 20.0 points per game in wins over Miami (Ohio), Nebraska and Tennessee State.

With today's award, she has been named ACC Player of the Week eight times in her career. She earned the accolade earlier this year on Nov. 12 following the Cardinals' first two games of the season.

For the week, Durr shot 51 percent from the floor, while averaging 4.7 assists and 4.0 rebounds. In Louisville's home opener against Miami (Ohio) on Nov. 26, Durr tallied 16 points, on just 13 shots, to go along with three assists and three steals. She then posted 25 points on 8-of-17 shooting, including 4-of-9 from beyond the arc, with a career-high eight assists against Nebraska on Thursday. On Sunday versus Tennessee State, she closed out the week with 19 points, four rebounds, three assists and three steals.

During the week, Durr moved up the Cardinals' record books with her performances, eclipsing 1,900 career points and moving into fourth place all-time in program history. She also passed 300 career 3-pointers, placing her second in program history.

Now sitting at 8-0 on the season, Louisville remains home this week for a pair of non-conference matchups. The Cardinals will take on UT Martin on Tuesday at 7 p.m. before facing rival Kentucky on Sunday at 2 p.m.
