Mia Ross Named to All-ACC Academic Cross Country Team

Senior runner earns honor for second-consecutive season
GREENSBORO, N.C. – For the second-consecutive year, Louisville senior Mia Ross was named to the All-Atlantic Coast Conference Academic Cross Country team as announced today by the conference office.
Ross capped off her cross country career with a strong senior season, competing in six events and earning All-Region honors at the NCAA Southeast Regional with a 6K time of 21:07.7 (25th place). At the ACC Championships, Ross finished 22nd with a personal-best 6K time of 20:48.2, nearly earning All-ACC honors. She also set a personal-best 5K time of 17:18.1 at the Greater Louisville Classic.
The Lonford, Australia native is pursuing a bachelor's degree in exercise science and was previously named to the All-ACC Academic Team following the 2016 season.
Members of the All-ACC Academic Team must meet a 3.0 grade point average for the prior semester, as well as a 3.0 cumulative average over their career. The ACC also considers athletic accomplishments during the previous season in the selection of the All-ACC Academic Team.
Georgia Tech's Nahom Solomon was selected as the ACC Men's Cross Country Scholar-Athlete of the Year, while ACC Champion Paige Stoner of Syracuse was named the ACC Women's Cross Country Scholar-Athlete of the Year.
