Women's Golf’s Cason, Hartlage Named to All-ACC Women's Golf Academic Team

Olivia Cason is earning the accolade for the second time in her career.
LOUISVILLE, Ky. – University of Louisville's Olivia Cason and Lauren Hartlage were named to the All-Atlantic Coast Conference Academic Women's Golf Team, league officials announced on Monday.
The Cardinals have seen individuals recognized on 28 occasions for their work in the classroom since head coach Courtney Trimble arrived in 2012.To be eligible for consideration for the All-ACC Academic team, a student-athlete, regardless of classification, must have earned a 3.00 grade-point average for the previous semester and maintained a 3.00 cumulative average during her academic career.
Cason is majoring in finance and boasts a 3.47 cumulative grade-point average. The two-time All-ACC academic team honoree capped her sophomore season with a 74.74 stroke average. The Owensboro, Ky., native locked up four top-10 showings and had 10 rounds even or below par.Hartlage, the ACC Freshman of the Year, also is a finance major and earned a 4.0 GPA in both the fall and spring semesters. She compiled a team-leading 73.50 stroke average, a mark that ranks sixth best in a season in program history. She set the school's freshman record, with 14 rounds even or below par – a mark that is third best among all UofL golfers since 2005. Her nine top-20 showings are tied for the second most in a season in program history.
