Cards snap eight-match win streak
The University of Louisville's Christopher Morin-Kougoucheff and Parker Wynn fell 6-3, 6-1 in the semifinals of the Oracle ITA National Fall Championship Saturday afternoon.
"Mansouri was serving cannonballs and prowling the net today," said UofL head coach Rex Ecarma. "Petrie was moving the ball all around the court. They played at a super-high level. If they play like that tomorrow, they will be National Champions. Parker and Chris have had a fantastic five weeks with the All-American Consolation final showing, Ohio Valley Regional Championship and now a semifinal showing here at the Oracle Fall Nationals. It is probably the best doubles run in program history. They are disappointed that they did not play their A game today but know there are some more big matches ahead of them. They should be very high in the next national doubles ranking."
The loss halts an eight-match win streak for the Cardinals who have compiled an 11-5 record in the fall season.
