March 14, 2015 | Swimming & Diving
University of Louisville senior Emily Stalmack from the No. 20-ranked Cardinal women's swimming and diving team punched her ticket to the post-season as competition concluded after three-days at the NCAA Zone C Diving Championships on Saturday at the McCorkle Aquatic Pavilion.
It is Stalmack's first time qualifying for next week's NCAA Championships. She is just the second Cardinal diver in school history to advance to the Championships from the highly competitive Zone C.
Stalmack will join nine previously qualified swimmers at the NCAA Championships, running Thursday through Saturday, March 19-21, in Greensboro, North Carolina. Preliminaries will begin at 11 a.m., with finals following at 7 p.m. She finished seventh on the platform with a score of 470.45 in the five dive format.
Five members of the No. 20-ranked University of Louisville women's swimming and diving team were selected for NCAAs.
The swimmers include seniors Tanja Kylliainen and Abigail Chin, juniors Kelsi Worrell and Andrea Kneppers and sophomore Andrea Cottrell.
The Cardinals also qualified all five relays, meaning sophomores Maggie Patterson and Abigail Houck along with freshman sprinter Rachel Grooms and senior backstroker Erica Belcher will attend as part of those relay teams only.
