Team Notes
• With the 73-58 victory over Rutgers, Louisville improves to 11-3 against the Scarlet Knights in the all-time series. The Cardinals have won the last three meetings and four of the last five.
• The Cardinals improve to 27-2 with the win over Rutgers and continues setting a new record for the best start in program history. The 27 wins this season is tied for the third most in a season having won 27 during the 2006-07 season. The record for the most wins in a season is 34 during the 2008-09 season.
• Louisville improves to 15-1 in American Athletic Conference play with the win over Rutgers. The 15 wins set a new record for the most conference wins in a season. The previous record was 14 set during the 2000-01 season in Conference USA and 2008-09 season in the BIG EAST.
• The Cardinals improve to 17-0 at home this season tying the record for the most home wins in a season, which was set during the 2006-07 season.
• Louisville is now 4-2 against ranked opponents this season. The Cardinals are a perfect 3-0 at home against ranked opponents.
• The Cardinals remain a perfect 13-0 this season when scoring 70 or more points in a game finishing with 73 points against Rutgers.
• Louisville set a new season-low in personal fouls having committed only 10 fouls against Rutgers. The previous low was 11 against Wright State.
• The Cardinals held Rutgers to 1 of 3 from 3-point field goal range tying the record for the fewest 3-point field goals allowed in a game this season. Louisville held both SMU and Memphis to one 3-point field goal made earlier this season. The three 3-point field goal attempts by Rutgers sets a new season-low for 3-point field goal attempts by an opponent this season.
• Louisville finished with two players recording double-doubles against Rutgers in senior Asia Taylor (25 pts., 15 rbs.) and junior Sara Hammond (12 pts., 11 rbs.). This marks the second time this season two players have achieved this feat as Hammond and junior Bria Smith did against SMU on Dec. 29.
• The Cardinals' game against Rutgers drew a crowd of 14,327, which is the 10th largest crowd for a game in program history. It marks the largest crowd since Dec. 2, 2012 when 15,453 came to watch Louisville face Kentucky. This attendance number now gives the KFC Yum! Center six of the top 10 crowds in program history.
Player Notes
• Senior Asia Taylor set new career-highs in points and rebounds against Rutgers finishing with 25 points and 15 rebounds. Taylor's previous highs were 23 points against LSU earlier this season and 13 rebounds against St. John's on March 4, 2012.
• Taylor's double-double against Rutgers marks her fifth of the season and the eighth of her career. Her five double-doubles this season are tied for lead on the team.
• Taylor's 15 rebounds against Rutgers are the most rebounds in a game by one player this season and the most since Monique Reid grabbed 15 rebounds against Seton Hall on Feb. 24, 2010.
• Taylor set new career-highs in free throws made and attempted finishing 9 of 12 against Rutgers. Her previous highs were seven made twice this season and 10 attempted against Northern Iowa on Nov. 27, 2009.
• Junior Sara Hammond finished with 12 points and 11 rebounds against Rutgers, her fifth double-double of the season and the 14th of her career. Her five double-doubles this season are tied for the lead on the team.
• Junior Bria Smith went 1 of 2 from the free throw line against Rutgers, which moves her into a tie for seventh on the career free throws made list with Kristin Mattox.
