Theophille Leads Track and Field at Drake Relays

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - Redshirt sophomore Michelle Theophille led the University of Louisville track and field teams at the prestigious Drake Relays on Friday evening in Des Moines, Iowa, at Drake Stadium.
Theophille, one of four Cardinal high jumpers competing at the meet, had a team-best seventh-place finish in the event. She cleared the bar at 1.75m/5-8.75, but currently is tied for 16th nationally after clearing 1.80m/5-10.75 last week. Megan Schubert finished ninth in the event, and Maggie Gilbertson took 10th.
The other portion of the team competes on Saturday, April 28, at the Bellarmine Classic in Louisville. A total of 18 student-athletes are scheduled to be in action, beginning at 11 a.m., at Owsley B. Frazier Stadium.
