
Andrew Farrell Named First Team NSCAA All-American

Louisville, Ky. - University of Louisville junior defender Andrew Farrell was one of 11 players announced as first team NSCAA All-Americans on Friday afternoon. Farrell earns the honor for the first time in his career. He joins the elite company of Colin Rolfe as the second Cardinal to earn first team NSCAA All-American honors.
Farrell was named MAC Hermann Trophy semifinalist this season. He was named BIG EAST Defensive Player of the Year this season. Farrell anchored the Cardinals' defense, which is tied for the top spot in the conference allowing 0.62 goals per game in league play. Louisville posted a 7-1 BIG EAST record, winning the Red Division. Farrell was also a unanimous selection to the All-BIG EAST first team. He finished the year tied for third on the team with four goals and nine points.
Farrell becomes Louisville's fourth NSCAA All-American. All four (Phil Edginton, Colin Rolfe, Austin Berry and Andrew Farrell) were coach by head coach Ken Lolla.
